IDK Stigma Campaign

PrEP
For
Lovers.

Because caring for someone includes protecting them.

PrEP for Lovers reframes HIV prevention through intimacy, trust, and care — not fear or stigma.

Our Mission

Love Is
Prevention.

Protecting yourself and the people you care about is an act of love.

PrEP for Lovers reframes HIV prevention through love, romance, intimacy, trust, and care—not fear, shame, or stigma. We believe prevention should feel like a natural part of healthy relationships, not something separate from them.

Through storytelling, community, and culture, PrEP for Lovers creates space for real conversations about prevention, connection, and caring for one another.

Know the Facts

PrEP Is for
Lovers Like You.

PrEP Is For Relationships Too

PrEP isn't just for one type of person or relationship. Many people in committed, monogamous, or long-term relationships choose PrEP as part of caring for themselves and their partners.

Love Does Not Eliminate Risk

Being in love or committed does not automatically eliminate HIV risk. Testing, communication, and prevention are still important parts of sexual health.

There's A PrEP Option For You

There are multiple PrEP options available, including daily pills, 2-1-1 dosing for some people, and long-acting injectable PrEP. A healthcare provider can help determine what fits your life and needs.

PrEP Works

When taken as prescribed, PrEP is up to 99% effective at preventing HIV through sex.

U=U Changes Everything

People living with HIV who maintain an undetectable viral load cannot sexually transmit HIV to sexual partners. This is known as U=U.
Undetectable = Untransmittable.

Prevention Looks Different For Everyone

PrEP can be part of many different types of relationships and experiences — whether you're dating, partnered, queer, straight, monogamous, open, or still figuring things out.

Rethinking Prevention

Love, Trust, and HIV
Prevention Can Coexist.

Being prepared for love matters.

Protection is not a sign of distrust — it can be an act of care for yourself, your relationships, and the people you love.

PrEP is not just for casual dating.

Many people assume PrEP is only for casual dating or certain lifestyles. In reality, people navigating love, commitment, and long-term relationships can benefit from PrEP too.

HIV prevention should feel visible, relatable, and accessible.

Black and Latino queer men and Black women continue to be disproportionately impacted by HIV, yet many still do not feel reflected in prevention conversations or care. PrEP can be part of protecting your health, relationships, future, and peace of mind — without shame or assumptions attached to it.

Stigma tells incomplete stories.

People often associate HIV with promiscuity or irresponsibility. In reality, many people living with HIV were simply navigating love, relationships, and trust without the information, protection, or support they deserved.

Will You Be PrEPared for Love?

Having someone who cares about your sexual health is romantic. Love with your heart. Protect your health. PrEP makes both possible — on your terms.
